We are proud to offer one of the best Physical Culture Programs in the San Fernando Valley. We offer instructional classes to students in health, fitness, dance, and team/individual sports taught by experienced and gifted instructors.

Instruction is sequential and planned to develop and improve performance skills, to impart knowledge and concepts relevant to the activity, to introduce information concerning the fitness and health benefits of regular exercise, and to help students to develop and maintain physical fitness.

The Bishop Alemany Physical Education Department is proud to provide AHS students, faculty and staff with an exquisite physical fitness facility. The Dance Center offers a series of courses that employ an open-entry format that allows students to use the facility during a variety of courses. The Gymnasium features access to our Athletic Directors, Basketball/Volleyball and Athletic Training Staff. Competitive play is enjoyed by students, athletes and spectators, alike in our state of the art facility.
