The Alemany Robotics Team and Advancement personnel accepted a check from Joanne Haas (Class of ’75) of the Gene Haas Foundation (Gene Haas - Class of '70) for $20,000 towards Robotics and Engineering scholarships.
This donation will be split: $10,000 for scholarships for students who will be going to engineering schools from Bishop Alemany. The other $10,000 is to support the Alemany Robotics Team for entry fees, travel, materials, or tools the team needs to compete and travel to competitions.
The Alemany Robotics Team would like to express their gratitude to the Haas Foundation for their generous donation.
Recently, the Alemany RoboWarriors (2659) competed in the FIRST Championship Houston Robotics Tournament. Over 400 robots competed, and Alemany reached the quarter finals in the Galileo Division.
