Tony Cox is an alumnus of Berkeley, California he achieved 2x NCAA Division 1 National Championships, 2x American Records, 11x NCAA All American, 2x PAC 12 Conference Championships as well as 2x SEC Conference Championships at Auburn University, Alabama. 

 

He left the USA in 2014, where he had the privilege of traveling to 35 countries and training athletes in Paraguay, Thailand, Nicaragua, and Holland.  He traveled to Paraguay where he had the opportunity to share knowledge with Olympic Athletes and inspire the youth of the next generation. In Holland, he trained a Dutch Record Holder and Olympian, who swam her personal best in all her Short Course Meters swimming events as well as qualifying for the podium in all three Breaststroke events at the 2014 Dutch National Championships. After her success, he became a coach with Ukiah High school where they improved their standings from previous years. The Ukiah High school Men placed 2nd overall in the North Bay League, as well as having one relay qualify for Zone 3 Championships. The UHS women placed 3rd overall which was the best performance and placing in their history. 

 

Tony attended Bishop Alemany High School where he was ASB President of his Junior Class, and the previous Sophomore class while maintaining a 3.0 (or better) GPA.

“The Auburn-bound talent established himself among the great backstrokers in the state by clocking 47.70 in the Div. 1 prelims, the fastest time in California this year – No 3 in the country – and fourth in state history. Cox added a Div 1 title in the 50 free (20.69), the state's No.5 time this year. “
