The Alemanian

Year 2009
Memoir I was in love with Bishop Alemany High School from the moment I laid eyes on it. I'm not sure what it was, but from the moment I stepped on campus I was set on going there. It marveled me; unlike public school, it taught about Jesus and Christianity and had the sign of the cross up on the wall, and unlike other Catholic schools, Bishop Alemany was modest and welcoming. You were accepted no matter what your race, religion, inteligence, or family income. I felt like a part of the family even before I went there. There was no doubt about it, it was just what I needed to grow in God.

I'm now about to be a sophomore at Alemany, and I still love it just as much as when I first laid eyes on it. It's almost perfect, except that something is wrong with some of the other students. Some of the students are here at Alemany because their parents made them, and because they don't want to be here they forget that Alemany is supposed to be a family. Just like in the theme for the 2009-2010 school year, "we are one body". From the teachers, to the staff, to the students, we are one body, one body in Christ. One big Alemany family. I believe the ideal Alemanian treats the other members of the Alemany body as their family, so we can hopefully work as one body like we were meant to be. Alemany is already a fantastic school in my opinion; it's my home. But there's nothing wrong about trying harder to become the ideal Alemanian.

May God bless us all,
