Alemany Amigos Mentoring Program Recognized by Los Angeles City Council

The Los Angeles City Council has recognized Alemany Amigos for commitment to youth
in the community. Alemany Amigos is a mentoring program with Alemany students hosting
children ages 7-12 on campus for a day of sports, science and art projects, lunch, and just
plain fun. The children come from disadvantaged areas of the community several times a
year. Alemany students develop strong bonds with the children. Approximately 160 to 200 children and students participate in this program.
