On November 8th, Alemany's Band and Orchestra concert performed "Night at the Movies" in Alumni Hall. The concert featured members of Alemany’s Band and Orchestra performing classic movie soundtrack selections from films such Star Wars and Jurassic Park.

This concert provided the opportunity for students to practice with their new instruments or add on to years of experience, like Jeremiah Biag (12), who has been playing music for about ten years. He says he likes these concerts because they provide new experiences to perform in front of others. “I like to perform in front of family and friends to show them what I’ve been working on”, says Biag. These performances are beneficial to more than just performers. Lejandro Taparan (11) says he enjoyed the evening watching his friends performing songs to some of his favorite movies.

These concerts are open to all Alemany students and families and allow for other people to be inspired and possibly pursue a future in music. Iris Garcia (11) says that watching concerts like this inspire her to want to perform for others and make them feel as good as she does.
