Bishop Alemany High School has been awarded an amazing grant that will allow us to provide a 1:1 iPad program and device for every student and teacher, to be implemented for the coming 26-27 school year moving forward!
The C3 IGNITE In-Kind Grant & Program, provided by the Catholic Communication Collaboration (C3) and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, will bring significant technology upgrades and support to our campus, including:
- The 1:1 iPad program brings every Alemany student (grades 9–12) a new, fully connected iPad. Students maintain their iPads until graduation or need for replacement; new iPads are provided by the grant annually for incoming 9th graders and new students.
- Teachers and staff receive robust professional development, training, and support. This includes hands-on site help, third party resources, and the ability for teachers to monitor and manage student devices directly from theirs.
- The program also provides students with a sturdy keyboard case that features a mouse trackpad, making the iPad even more practical for schoolwork, research, and homework anywhere.
- Teachers receive the Apple Magic Keyboard with their iPad Air, offering a premium experience and extra functionality.
- The program includes a loaner/replacement process, so students can get a working device if and when theirs is lost, stolen or damaged.
- All iPads are activated with T-Mobile cellular service, providing reliable internet access everywhere at school, at home, on the bus, or waiting for practice. More, each iPad serves as an internet hotspot for the family at home, paid for by the grant for the life of the device.
This grant is a tremendous opportunity to enhance our digital learning environment, close the equity gap, and empower both students and teachers with modern tools for success. We are grateful for this investment in our community and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on teaching and learning.Thank you for your continued patience, enthusiasm, and support! Please stay tuned for more details as we prepare for a successful rollout.
