10th Grade Parents,

We are looking forward to hosting the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) on campus this coming Thursday, March 18, 2021 for all of our 10th grade students.

We are thankful to be able to offer your students this opportunity and are also very cognizant of current health and safety guidelines. Your student's safety is of our utmost concern and as a result, strict health and safety protocols will be enforced for each student taking the test. These protocols include temperature checks, wearing masks at all times, and limiting the number of students to no more than 12 individuals per classroom.

Check-in for testing will begin at 8:30 a.m. in front of Alumni Hall and testing will conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m. Students will be released from their testing rooms in a staggered manner between 1:00-1:20 p.m. in order to reduce crowding. Due to safety protocols, we will require all students to be picked up/exit campus as soon as they are released.

There are a few additional reminders we wanted to share with you:

1. Students have access to reading the PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide via Canvas.
2. Students should stay at home if they are sick.
3. Students must be in uniform on the day of testing.
4. Check in takes place between 8:30-9:00 a.m. in front of Alumni Hall. Please be sure to arrive on time.
5. Students should bring #2 pencils and a calculator (mechanical pencils can't be used).
6. Students should NOT bring their iPads or laptops.
7. Students should be sure to bring and wear a mask at all times.
8. Students must remember to observe social distancing at all times.
9. Students should bring water and a snack as our cafeteria area will not be open.

While we encourage all students to take advantage of this testing opportunity, if you do not want your student to take the exam, please inform us as soon as possible in an email to our testing coordinator, Sr. Anne Kavanagh ([email protected]). Be sure to include your student's full name in the email.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing your student this coming Thursday on campus.
