"Mock-heroic" style language is usually used to describe everyday ordinary characters as heroic individuals with heroic characteristics. This often results in a funny disparity between content and style. In the Nun's Priest's Tale, Chaucer mismatches noble words with barnyard goings-on and therefore shows the silly side of of heroic tales.
1. Where in the passage is an example of a mock-heroic style? When you find it, identify the details in the description that help create this style.

2. Write a brief character profile of Chanticleer from what we've read to date. (Lines 1-60)
