Description
This course will provide an overview of the literature that defines the early eras of America –from Native American Myth to the sentiments of the 1900s. Through selected readings, lecture, and discussion, the course will analyze the significance and ideology that creates American Literature. Proper use of grammar will also be discussed and a point of focus. The course will encourage critical thinking through active participation in classroom discussions and assignments. The course also focuses on creating a serious sense of responsibility in each individual.
