Whether you actually come to tutoring OR send me an email, you MUST ask me a legitimate question (concerning Spanish) in order to receive the 10 points for homework.

Each answer must have at least 5 complete sentences and each sentence must have at least 5 words.

1. Students! Hold on the paper that says "STUDY GUIDE-FINAL PART I".

2. If you did not finish the computer lab work AND if you want to receive 50 points (and help you study for the final exam), turn in the incomplete signature sheet STAPLED to the print outs of the score page (of those sections you did not get signatures for showing 3 errors or less) from the internet that shows the name of the section and score received. I will not receive COPIES OF COMPLETED SCORE SHEETS. If you lose your incomplete signature sheet, you will have to do everything over (with more print outs) in order to get points.

All groups for the speaking Final MUST turn in a COPY of a rough draft of the speaking conversation. It can be in English or Spanish and must be turned in so I can make sure you are going in the right direction.

1. Finish Tuesday's (17-04-12) classwork. 20 points

2. Do page 225, activity 7, numbers 1 through 8, A and B. 10 points.

The instructions say to ask another student, but just ask yourself. This will be A.
A. (I'm going to do number 2) ¿Vas a dormir diez horas?

For B, you answer the question with "no, you cannot go" - "No, no puedo (from poder (to be able to) – page 223 (the o changes to ue)) ir a un concierto (the example)", or "No, no puedo dormir diez horas (number 2). THEN, make up an excuse, using IR A + INFINITIVE (what we saw in class today). I would just use a prompt from another question.
For example, number 2, (for B) could be "No, no puedo dormir diez horas. Voy a pasar un rato con los amigos (the prompt for number 5). Why did I choose number 5? Why not? It is easier that way, especially if you do not know a lot of vocabulary. In fact, you can choose the prompt from any other number when doing number 2 as your excuse. I chose prompt number 5 randomly. One response could be, "No, no puedo dormir diez horas. Voy a ir a mi casa (I am going home.) If you know how to answer with this response (or any other for that matter), then congratulations to you. If not, just take something from another question. Make sure you conjugate IR correctly and put an A between the conjugation and the 2nd verb (that is in the infinitive).
You have to write both A and B, as shown in the example.

In your notebooks, from page 75 of the textbook, write each of the personality and appearance vocabulary words 5 times each. Only write the Spanish. To be done in the notes section of the notebook.

Test Friday, November 4, 2011. Dictation. The numbers and the time will be read in Spanish and the student must write the corresponding number and time (in digital). They do not have to WRITE OUT the name of the number, but only the number.

Make 25 vocabulary (flash) cards from the textbook pages 22 and 23

Write and define in English the 26 vocabulary words or expressions from pages 32 and 33 of the textbook in your vocab section of your notebook.

Your project, whether powerpoint (period 3) or poster or powerpoint (period2) is to choose a noun (person, place, thing or idea) that starts with the letter your group chose and present that to the class using adjectives (that start with any letter) to describe the noun. Everything must be in Spanish! Thank you!

In the notes section of your notebooks, you are to do (from the textbook) page 24 - exercise 24, page 26 - exercise 2 and page 27 - exercise 3. Write out the sentences.

From the textbook, do pages 4 - exercises 1 and 2, page 5 - exercise 3 and page 8 - exercises 4 and 5 (to be put in the note section of your notebooks). Write out sentences! If you have some done for Friday, September 9, you will get credit in your notebooks counted toward your grades when I collect the notebooks on Friday.

For those of you who are still without textbooks and workbooks, the bookstore has workbooks available, so go purchase them!

Students must complete and turn in the Student Information Page, including cell home number. In case of an emergency and someone has to locate you, this information could help save your life.

All students are to have all materials (textbook, workbook, folder, notebook, dictionary, pens and pencils) in class by Wednesday (periods 1, 3) or Thursday (periods 2, 4, 6).
