This is a link for all my health classes and P.E. classes. You will find a syllabus as well as a course outline. Please take advantage of the class calender; I will be updating it as we go through the semester. Most assignments will be posted on this site; however, it is the students obligation to copy or obtain assignments during class time.

• Students are required to bring to class : Writing utensils

- Class work and notes must be completed in class notebook
- Students are required to respect other students, themselves, the classroom and the teacher at all times.
General guidelines for determining student grades
Unit Tests: 15%
Given at the end of each chapter
Make up tests will be taken on the day of the student’s return
Mid Term/ Final Exam: 30%
Mid term will cover Unit 1-3; Final Exam will cover Unit 4-5
Quizzes:5%
Chapter quizzes will usually be announced.
- pop quizzes are usually review quizzes after lecture so be prepared.
- Note checks will not be announced. (a quiz usually follows a reading assignment or class notes)
- If absent, the student will be excused from pop quizzes but will make up chapter quizzes.
Homework/Projects/Class work: 50%
All assignments must be completed and turned in on time to receive full credit. After due date assignments will receive 1/2 credit!
**Any assignments before the mid- term will expire its “point value” after exams are taken.
Assignments given prior to absences are due on the day of return
If absent, check class website for missed assignments
Grading Scale:
A= 90-100% B=80-89% C=70-79& D=60-69% F=0-59%
Discipline guidelines/rules
The following disciplinary actions will be taken for: Tardiness, Disruptive behavior, and deemed items such as cell phones. All school regulations will be strictly enforced.
* The Alemany High School Code will be held in the course.
** With all due consideration given to the above stated guidelines, the final determination of the student’s grade rests with the professional judgment of the teacher.
