Description
American Literature is an exploration of American authors from pre-Colonial to the Modern period. Students will develop grammar, composition and reading comprehension skills. Students will enrich their vocabulary through reading and construct clear and grammatically sound writing assignments.

*Body paragraphs must be 7-9 sentences in length and address only one main point per paragraph (refer to handout from class). 10 quotes from the two stories you are referencing. Each quote must contain an integrating sentence and commentary (explaining how this quote supports your thesis) that is 2x the length of your quote.
*Concluding paragraph- sums up all the ideas presented in your paper. Your thesis statement may be restated here.
