Hello! Welcome to this section of this course, Spanish III. I am Ms. Arriola and I hope this academic year 2012-20123i s a wonderful one. Here is some useful information. Materials: *Descubre 3 Textbook & Workbook. /Access code: Supersite *A 3 subject notebook- 8 x 11 lined or a folder with 3 dividers (for agendas/calentamientos/ classwork & homework/ grammar) * Spanish/English dictionary *Flashcards COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is an intermediate-level course designed for students who have successfully completed levels 1 and 2 of high school Spanish. This course will focus on the development of oral proficiency, mastery of grammar and vocabulary, development of reading skills, and the introduction of brief works of Spanish and Latin American literature. Tutoring Hours: Tuesdays: 3:00 - 3:45PM **Thursdays: 1:35- 3:00 PM **Wednesdays (1:45-2:45) [this is only when there no meetings] You are more than welcome to make an appointment if you cannot make the times listed above. *Please note that homework, class work, projects, and quizzes will be posted on www.alemany.org "Classwork/Homework" section. In addition, through the semester progresses I will posting important dates and events that relates to this course. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Mi futuro project: Mi vida en 2018, 2028, 2048. 

 Create an illustrated story on PPT, Librito, or a video .  Write about your future of what your life would be like in 2018, 2028, and 2048.  You may work in group of 2 or individually.  You will use 5-7 slides to present your information.  You will need to include a baby picture to start and then talk about your ideas.  Use your notes from the handout and notes you worked in class.

Materials: Computer/PowerPoint /cardstock paper/Colored markers or pencils /Spanish/English dictionary

 

Preparation for Cardstock/Poster:

Brainstorm a topic for your story.  Write a first draft of your story.  Use a dictionary if necessary.   Sketch drawings on the blank sheet of paper to illustrate your story.  Ask a classmate to edit your rough draft.  Make revisions and write a final draft.  Draw the final illustrations and color them. Make sure that you type your story.  You should put a caption under each illustration and attach your story to the back of the paper.  

 

Total Pts: 50 pts. 

Your work will be based on the list mentioned above including:

·          Organization                                           (5 pts)

·          Creativity                                             (5 pts)             

·          Presentation (to the class)                            (10 pts)

·          Followed Directions: Accuracy

You will work on creating a Bio-Poema. Follow the model given to you and we have worked in class. The final product needs to be written in Spanish. Any revision prior to the final one is welcomed. Your overall goal is to represent who you are based on the breakdown on the assignment sheet. You will have to include the following:
• Show the meanings of the words with visuals. (Do not use any English.)
(pictures, props, actions)
• Correct Spelling and Pronunciation.
• **Please follow this grammatical rule: “la cebolla blanca,” ”de + el = del”, “”el + a = al”
