Keyboarding Homework -

Any student that did not show at least 40 wpm on their preliminary keyboarding grade in the comment area must log into www.typeingweb.com and practice for 1 hour a week.  I would highly recommend that you work about 15 minutes every day.  Remember that I want this to be in addition to your in class work.  I want them to appear as lessons on my reports.  Any questions please see me at the end of class or at tutoring.  I will run the report from Monday to Monday in the mornings.

Assignment

Classwork - Week of 5-20

  1. We will finish playing the Vocab Game we started on Friday.
  2. Heads-up - On Tuesday and Block day you will create a study guide for another class.  You can do it for more than one class if needed.  Please bring material from another class.
    • Should you not bring material from another class an alternative assignment may be given dealing with reading articles and taking notes.  So I advise bringing in other work.
    • Study guide can be a word document with a table, word document with an outline, Word brochure.
  3. Each day this week I will give a keyboarding assessment or two.
  4. HEADS-UP - Homework Assignment - see separate assignment due on day of final.
Tuesday and Block Day
1.Create a folder called Final-Study-Guide-lastname.  You will use this folder to place all word documents you choose to do.  Save each word document with coursename-lastname.
◦As stated earlier you may choose to do any combination of Word tables, outlines, or brochures.
◦As far as the length goes - stick to single spaced because I am going to try and let you print them out at the end of the block day.  No more than3 pages (upper classmen 4) altogether and it should be thorough.  I will be using my own judgment as to the quality and quantity.  If you could take these into an exam you would want it to be thorough and filled with the more challenging information.
◦ALTERNATIVE.  Should you not have brought any material from another course you must watch the DVD about Climate change.  I will give you a sheet to take notes on and this will replace the study guide grade.  So your notes should be nicely done.
