Come join us for a night of song, dance, and laughter in the showings of the musical Grease! This musical is performed by the Alemany Theatre and is performed by the students of Bishop Alemany/ Rydell High. Grease is an iconic 50s musical. It's a story of teenage love and angst, a universal concept that is relatable to all. The story features Danny and Sandy in their journey to falling in love. Grease incorporates the idea of acting not for oneself, but for another. It emphasizes the idea that any relationship inherently involves compromise. Our protagonists learn that the true meaning of love is sacrifice. Danny, initially a greaser, and Sandy, initially a preppy school girl, meet somewhere in the middle while still retaining their individuality. Ultimately Grease is a nostalgic look at growing up.
