ASIA WELCOMES ALEMANIAN!!

In late September Brother Kevin, Assistant Principal, traveled to northeastern China to introduce Bishop Alemany to educational leaders in several Chinese Provinces. After landing in Beijing, Brother met with members of the Diplomatic Corps at the American Embassy in Beijing to learn the process of enrolling students at Bishop Alemany. The purpose of enrolling students is to help our students here to better understand the young people of China and to have them understand us better. Since one third of the world speaks Chinese, that language is one that would be profitable for the students of the twenty-first century to learn since a tremendous amount of business and scientific research will be done with the Chinese.

As a result of the trip, students will be coming to Bishop Alemany High School from China. At the present time, one student has applied to Bishop Alemany and the student is looking for a host family for the next semester. If anyone would like to host a young lady (11th grade) from China, please contact Brother Kevin in the Studies Office. He would also like to hear from parents and students who would be interested in establishing Mandarin as another language offering here at Bishop Alemany.
