The Mark Cruz Family has funded a $1000 college scholarship in perpetuity in memory of Sandra Velasco, an Alemany Alumnus, Alemany Mom and Alemany Soccer Mom. Sandra recently lost her life in a horrible tragedy. She was deeply committed to her children. She was a single mom who worked as a mail carrier, yet found time to drive to all of her children's games no matter where she had to drive to (many times alone). She was always a dedicated part of the Alemany family and even after her children stopped playing, continued to be a full supporter of the Alemany soccer program and dear friend to all of the soccer parents.
