Christian Leadership (Period 2)

This two semester course is designed to help the students develop their leadership skills, understand principles for ministry, grow in their spiritual and faith life, be of service to the community, and gain a substantive, balanced and integrated appropriation (for Catholic students) or appreciation (for non-Catholic students) of Catholicism. Students will use the main textbook for the Social Justice course, a peer ministry text, and additional handouts. Students will gain an academic understanding of Catholic belief and practice. They will also demonstrate their ability to apply course material by their involvement in: liturgy and retreat planning, leading of retreats, service projects and activities, community outreach, and discernment of personal vocations.
