Introduction to Algebra

•This course is designed to provide students who wish to prepare for Algebra I an opportunity to be introduced to the basic concepts of Algebra IA.

•The purpose of this course is to help the student to lay a strong foundation in the area of Mathematics so that the transition from grade school to high school will be a successful one.

•Students who take this course are students who wish to get a head start in the study of Algebra.

•Students who have some weaknesses in the area of Pre-Algebra or students who have not taken Pre-Algebra may be required to take this course.

•This course is highly recommended for ninth grade students who are preparing to take Algebra I.

•Students who have grades below the “B” level in Pre-Algebra should consider taking this course.
