This weekend the alemany speech and debate team will be going to UC Berkeley for the all california speech and debate tournament. This is the biggest tournament of the year. Teams from all over the united states and puerto rico will be there. The debate topic will be whether or not the united states should contribute to health care costs in sub-saharan africa.
Our devastating debaters are Andrea Flores, Julia Walther, LInas Sapitas, and Kevin Willis. Competing in the individual speech events will be Mike Farrel, Lynda Correia, Jake Davis, Danny Ramirez Andrew Rivera and Jessica Gonzales.Leading the speech team is Jake Davis, an award winning speaker with previous medals in dramatic interpretation and comedy.The team's manager, Tatianna McBride, will be overseeing the team and keeping everything together.
We look forward to the challenge of top notch competition in order to showcase our skills. The team will be staying at the Marriot resort in beautiful Emeryville,CA.
