Summer School Updates & Reminders

Good afternoon.

If you haven’t already done so, this is a reminder to register for summer school now. The deadline for registration is June 5, but some classes may close before the deadline. Please note: The completed Registration Form and Summer School Contract can be found here on the Alemany website and payment should be handed in at the Tuition office.

  • Registration for each semester course is $400.
  • For questions, please email Angela Urbach at [email protected].

In addition to providing courses for students to remediate any D/Fs on their transcripts, we offer a variety of courses to get ahead in meeting graduation requirements as well as elective courses.

Upon approval from Department Chairpersons, and the Counseling office the following accelerated courses are offered over summer (Theses are 2 semester courses which must be taken simultaneously):

  • Full Year Geometry
  • Full Year Biology
  • Honors Chemistry
  • Honors Spanish 3

We also offer some courses unique to summer school:
  • Introduction to College Admissions – this elective course offers students the opportunity to learn about the college process and to develop the tools to navigate this process. Students research college options, get a head start on college applications, writing college essays, and selecting their majors.
  • PE- Swim – students have the opportunity to experience a unique physical education course. This course includes an introduction to aquatics and water safety, specialized swim techniques and water aerobics, learning and developing swim strokes as well as an introduction to water polo. (This course can be taken as an elective, but also satisfies the graduation requirement for Physical Education).
  • Ceramics/Studio Art A & B - students have the opportunity to experience different styles of art within the same course. (These classes can be taken as electives, but also satisfy graduation requirements for Visual & Preforming Arts as well as opening their schedules for more advanced electives).

Additional Courses offered that satisfy Graduation Requirements:

  • Physical Education (traditional PE)
  • Health (online)
