Executive Board Duties
President:
- Preside at all regular and special meetings of the Parent Association Executive
- Serve as the liaison between the Parent Association and the president and principal
- Appoint all committee chairpersons with the approval of the principal, president and executive committee
- Prepare monthly agenda upon consultation with the president, and principal. Provide copies of agenda at each meeting
- Respond to emails on behalf of the Parent Association
- Chair ad hoc committees as requested by the school principal or president
Vice President:
- Preside in the absence of the president
- Be responsible for maintaining Parent Association Alemany webpage and other social media platforms (Remind/Blackboard) (Provide emails to front office for all blackboard announcements)
- Oversight of, and provide guidance to all committee chairs
- Track and add teacher favorite lists, and keep an updated bday list in file
- Perform the duties of the president when the president is unable to do so
- Chair ad hoc committees as requested by the Parent Association president
Treasurer:
- Collaborate with the school finance director to reconcile Parent Association balances
- Responsible for maintaining record of all check requests, receipts, deposits, and reimbursements
- Report to the Parent Association Executive Committee at each regular meeting
- Chair ad hoc committees as requested by the president
- Responsible for overseeing and managing event budgets in consultation with the executive committee
Secretary:
- Responsible for recording the minutes of the Parent Association Executive committee general meetings
- Create and fliers/announcements for meetings and events for VP to distribute through blackboard and remind
- Forward a draft of all minutes to the Parent Association to board, school president and principal within 5 days of meeting
- Provide copies of minutes for all meetings after consultation with the Parent association board, school president, and principal
- Maintain a permanent record of all minutes and resolutions
- Chair ad hoc committees as requested by the Parent Association president
