Wind Ensemble is a musical ensemble for students who play wind and percussion instruments.

Advanced Band

This ensemble is for students with at least 2 years of experience who are dedicated to making quality music in a traditional concert band setting. The 2019 Fall semester students will be the founding members of the new Alemany Marching Band which includes a marching element from August - December with parades, Disneyland, competitions, expositions, and festivals. Students will perform along side other Catholic High School Marching Bands to represent their community and earn potential scholarship opportunities for college. The Alemany Marching Band includes drumline and can be expected to perform at school functions and events along with community service opportunities that represent the school.

This award-winning ensemble performs frequently and travels nationally meets in the spring semester. They also participate in many competitions and music festivals in New York, Seattle, Sea World, Disneyland, 6 Flags Magic Mountain, and Universal Studios every year.

This class meets during the school day, and meets the A - G subject requirements for fine arts.

Incoming students may be asked to take a seating placement audition.

Many studies have shown that students in band and orchestra score higher on tests and graduate with high honors. Recently the Texas Music Educators Association monitored test scores for a number of years and music students consistently scored higher than non-music students on the SAT exam.
