The Annual Fund is BAHS’ top fundraising priority. It raises critical philanthropic dollars to support the daily operations of the school during the current academic year.

 

Tuition does not fully fund BAHS’ annual budget. Like most other area private and independent schools, BAHS’s tuition level does not cover the actual cost of the education delivered. By pricing tuition at a level that is manageable for more families, the school can sustain a uniquely representational student body and better prepare all students for success in an increasingly complex and diverse society. Gifts to the Annual Fund help close the gap between the tuition charged and the actual cost of education, ensuring that our school remains affordable for more families who otherwise could not afford to attend. Unlike tuition payments, donations to the Annual Fund allow our community to provide budget dollars via tax deductible donations.

At any level, participation in the Annual Fund is a vote of confidence in our school, our faculty, and our educational mission. Your participation encourages others to join you in supporting the school. Strong Annual Fund participation is a benchmark used by foundations and corporations when determining where to place their valuable grant funding.

BAHS’ family of funds allows our donors to direct their support within the Annual Fund to one of five areas the school has identified as core pillars of BAHS. Gifts to the Annual Fund may be directed to the following:

  • Area of Greatest Need
  • Athletics
  • Faculty/Staff Professional Development
  • Technology
  • Tuition Assistance
  • Visual and Performing Arts

Annual Fund gifts to the Area of Greatest Need provide BAHS the flexibility to use the money where it is most vitally needed. The Annual Fund’s impact is felt in all corners of BAHS, from the campus to the people to the programs. Unrestricted giving ensures that all aspects of the BAHS experience are funded.

 

Did you know that the impact of your gift may be doubled or even tripled if your employer has a matching gift program? Please inquire if your employer offers matching gifts.

Yes.  Donors may choose to fulfill their Annual Fund pledge using an installment plan. Many donors find that utilizing monthly or quarterly payments makes their donation more manageable than giving in one lump sum.
