Studio Art

Studio Art is a visual art class for students of all grade levels and abilities. Students will learn about the importance of the Elements of Art - Color, Value, Line, Texture, Shape, Form and Space- in art by creating a variety of 2- Dimensional works of art thought out the semester.  Students will explore of a variety of art materials including paints, pen and ink, and pastels.   Students will learn several important art concept including color mixing, perspective and painting and drawing skills. Emphasis in Studio Art is placed on creating original artwork and improvement of personal art skills.   At the end of each art project students will write a reflection of their art work showing their knowledge of art vocabulary and concepts learned. will have the opportunity to display their art in the annual student Art Exhibit.
