Academic Inclusion Office

Under the direction of Mrs. Juanita Chauvin, the Office of Academic Support Services provides academic guidance and assistance to students with learning differences. Since parents are the primary educators of their children, the Office of Academic Support Services works closely with parents to identify their student's areas of strength and areas of academic concern. In addition, the Office of Academic Support Services collaborates with both parents and teachers to create a team approach to meet the learning needs of the student.

Parents of students with disabilities needing STEP Plan minor adjustments, including those who had an IEP or 504 Plan in middle school, should make requests to the Academic Inclusion Office in the Counseling Office: [email protected].

All minor adjustments require appropriate advance notice to avoid delay in services. Please discuss approved minor adjustments with Mrs. Chauvin and/ or teachers so we can work together to ensure your student’s access and success at Bishop Alemany HS.
