Welcome to Counseling News

The Bishop Alemany High School Counseling Department offers social-emotional, educational, and college counseling in both individual and group settings. Counselors take pride in meeting the needs of each and every student on our campus, and work closely with teachers, deans, and administrators to help students grow, learn, and develop across all areas. The Counseling Office is open before school, after school, and at all breaks. With an open door policy, students should never hesitate to stop by. We also have several planned activities for both students and parents throughout the year. Please continue to check this section for counseling news and updates!

AP Testing Reminder

If you are planning on taking an AP Exam and have not registered yet, please come to the Counseling Office to see Sr. Anne Kavanagh no later than Tuesday, November 12th.

Upcoming College Application Deadlines

The Cal State (CSU) and University of California (UC) applications are all due on November 30th, and many private and out of state schools have application deadlines in early December!

College Financial Aid Night

Parents of Senior students, please join the Counseling Department on Wednesday November 6th at 6:30 p.m. in room L8 for helpful hints and updates on the college financial aid process.
